Founded on November 19th, 1937, PFCU is a testament to the enduring power of community and cooperation. Established by the Fort Whipple Mortician and his assistant, the credit union was originally known as Prescott U.S. Employees Federal Credit Union. Its primary mission was to serve the Veterans and the employees of the Veterans Administration Medical Center, providing them with accessible financial products and services. PFCU has a rich history that spans over eight decades. From its humble beginnings, the credit union has grown and evolved, continuously adapting to meet the needs of its members. Initially founded to serve a specific group, the credit union’s membership has expanded to include Veterans, Federal Employees, Students, Staff of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and their families. This expansion reflects Prescott Federal’s commitment to inclusivity and community support.
